Jumilhac le Grand .
Just ten minute's away from St Priest Les Fougères, on the D79, is the magnificent Château of Jumilhac Le Grand with its fairytale turrets, famous Spinner's room, state drawing room and kitchen. Open to the public from June to the end of September. Also at weekends at other times of the year, or by appointment. On summer evenings it is particularly spectacular with the whole castle area totally illuminated.
The Lou Boueiradour bar and restaurant are situated in the square, just across
from the Château, and make an ideal location from which to admire the
Château whilst sipping a glass of wine or enjoying a good lunch or dinner
(you can just see the restaurant on the right on the photo above). Children
are made welcome (with a children's menu) and the prices are reasonable. Children
can also play safely in the square.
