LA MAISON JAUNE, Dordogne - BOOKING DETAILS


Please check availability with us first.. Then by confirmation, in writing, by completing our Booking Form, accompanied by a 25% deposit within 7 days. The balance being due 8 weeks prior to the commencement of the renting period. If the booking is within the 8 week period then full payment must be made at the time of booking.

Numbers in excess of those agreed at the time of booking, and/or sub-letting or reassignment is not permitted.

Please confirm at the time of booking if any pets are to be included.

The cottage is available from 5.00pm to 10.00pm on the first day of the rental period. Unless by prior agreement, the cottage must be vacated by 9.30am on the day of departure.

A security deposit of £100 or 150 euros is payable at the time of full payment. This is to cover any damage, break-ages etc and may be paid by separate cheque which we hold until the end of your stay and the cottage has been checked.   We appreciate knowing if you have had any breakages - accidents do happen.  On the day of departure the cottage must also be left in a clean and tidy condition, or a deduction will be made from the deposit.

BOOKING TERMS AND CONDITIONS

CANCELLATIONS/ALTERATIONS

Cancellations must be in writing by the person who made the booking. At such time every effort will be made to re-let the cottage and if successful a refund will be made, less a small administration fee. In the case that the cottage cannot be re-let then the full cost of the holiday will become due. Comprehensive travel insurance is strongly advised to cover cancellation, personal property, public liability etc.

In the event of a request to change a holiday date, and the cottage is available for the requested period, a small administration charge will be made. If, however, the cottage is not available, then the original booked rental period remains and the cancellation conditions apply.

OWNERS’ LIABILITIES

The owners shall not be liable for any temporary defect or cut in the supply of public services. Nor in respect of any equipment or appliance in the cottage, garage or garden. The owners also do not accept liability for any damage, or injury caused by adverse weather, riot, war, strikes and any circumstances beyond their control.

The owners do not accept any liability for any harm, injury or damage caused by an accompanying pet to a human being, livestock animal or to another domestic pet not belonging to the pet owner.

The owners offer the use of their private lake and land to guests, but renters are advised that they use both entirely at their own risk.

In the event that the rental property has been destroyed or substantially damaged prior to the rental period, the owners will notify renters immediately and within 7 days refund all sums paid by the guest for the rental period. Should such an occasion arise then the owners’ liability to the hirer would not exceed the amount paid for the rental period.
